Asian Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty

Patient profile and concerns
Age/Sex: Early 20s, Asian female
Follow-up: 3 months post-operation
Main concerns: Low nasal bridge, short nasal length, and lack of definition.
Objective: To elongate and project the nose while achieving a naturally defined and harmonious appearance with the midface.
Surgeries performed
01. Rib cartilage rhinoplasty (100% autologous): Used the patient’s own rib cartilage to safely elongate and project the nose, refine the nasal tip, and provide long-lasting support without using any synthetic implant. An incision to harvest rib cartilage is placed on the breast line. The structure inside the nose and outside the nose is well built in a natural way.
02. Midface augmentation: Enhanced the projection of the midface to create better balance between the nose, cheeks, and overall facial profile with improvement of mouth protrusion.
Recovery and outcome
At 3 months post-operation, the patient’s nose shows improved length, projection, and natural definition with smooth contours. The midface augmentation further enhances harmony, giving the profile a refined and elegant balance. Swelling will continue to decrease, and results will become even more natural with time.
