Sliding Genioplasty Chin Surgery




Patient profile and concerns
Age/Sex: 30s, Caucasian female
Follow-up: 3 days post-operation
Main concerns: Weak chin and desire for lower face enhancement.
Objective: To improve chin projection and balance lower facial proportions for a more defined and harmonious profile.
Surgeries performed
01. Genioplasty – Chin bone was advanced and repositioned to create stronger projection and improve lower facial contour. Small incision was made inside the mouth to reach the bone, posterior part of the chin bone was pulled forward. Fine medical wire was used on the lateral part of the chin to fix each other. No synthetic implants were used for a long-lasting surgical result.
Recovery and outcome
At 3 days post-operation, the patient is experiencing expected initial swelling, which will gradually subside over the first week. She is advised to maintain a soft diet during the early recovery period. Final contour will continue to refine as swelling decreases over the coming weeks.
